As part of our orientation to London, and England, our coordinators brought us to Brighton on the English channel to experience a nice city on the beach (a pebble beach at that). We got to hang out and relax after a long week of orientation classes and dealing with the jet lag. Later in the day we went to see the Royal Pavilion that used to belong to the British royalty but was sold to the city of Brighton because it was 'too small' for the later generations to raise their families in. Photo's weren't allowed inside but it was pretty incredible at how much money was put into this place that was just used as a vacation spot in the 18th century
How could this place be too small for a family to vacation in?!
A very popular tourist spot
The view from the boardwalk as the sun was setting
They told us it had an Asian influence, it looks out of place in England
.
The beach was made up of stones just like these, no sand anywhere
